PED 255 h.w. questions

1)what is ment by the idea that teaching is a goal-oriented activity? In order to be a successful teacher you need to set goals. If you set goals it gives you something to work towards. If teachers don't set goals then it will be a boring class and your students wont get better at the tasks your trying to have them perform. As a teacher you need to set goals to help your students succed and get better at all the activities they perform.

4)why is the process that teachers choose to use to teach content important? This is important because teachers need to use certain teaching styles that fit their students. The teacher needs to decide if they want to use lectures, discussions, videos, etc, they should choose which ones they use based on how their students learn and what motivates them. If the teacher can't get the students motivated to learn chances are the students wont perform well in the class. You also need to teach material that the students are going to understand.

 5. why is the movement task-student response unit of analysis so important in physical education? This is very important because as teachers we need to educate our students and be able to evaluate them. We need to be able to tell where certain students stand in certain activities. Teachers also need to give the students feedback to let them know where they stand and what they need to work on.
